Job summary

State of Washington’s Department of Licensing seeks a Licensing Services Representative (LSR2) for our North Bend office. The role emphasizes accurate document verification, patient customer service, and adherence to licensing procedures to safeguard public safety.

Training will equip you to issue licenses and IDs with confidence. Upon successful training, you may issue Enhanced Drivers Licenses and receive a 10% pay increase; a 5% premium and ORCA pass are provided in King County.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of direct customer service work experience providing products or services to the public.
• Five (5) years of licensed driving experience with a valid WA driver license.
• Typing speed of 30 wpm or greater.

Responsibilities

• Verify authenticity of documents, evaluate information, and issue licenses/IDs per laws and procedures.
• Perform final review of enhanced driver license applications to determine eligibility.
• Collect DOL licensing fees.
• Approve or deny (pending) enhanced applications and issue EDL/EID.
• Assess customer qualifications (physical, medical, visual) for licensing issuance.
• Travel, including relief to other offices and training (overnight stays possible).
• Conduct driving skills tests while riding in the applicant’s vehicle.
