Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a logistics supervisor to build and maintain driver relationships and optimize loads in coordination with our Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers. The role emphasizes meeting driver needs such as home time, payroll, and equipment support.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business/marketing/transportation or 2–3 years of fleet management experience, with 6 months to 1 year of supervisory exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics, or 2–3 years fleet management experience.
• 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships to meet driver needs, including home time, payroll and equipment issues.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops and driver availability.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics, service expectations and initiatives to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and external vendors.
• Work closely with the Dedicated Logistics Manager to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift.
