Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. seeks a logistics supervisor to build and maintain driver relationships, optimize loads, and meet customer service goals.

You will partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to align freight moves with driver availability and client expectations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics) or equivalent trucking experience, plus supervisory maturity and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent trucking experience preferred.
• 2–3 years fleet/transportation experience preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and management ability required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships, addressing needs such as home time, payroll, and equipment issues.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads by origin, destination, freight type, miles, and stops.
• Align with customer service goals and Werner objectives to improve value for customers and the company.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Work with management to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Maintain timely and regular attendance per scheduled shift.
