Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead operations and employees during assigned shifts. You will train and coach staff, manage scheduling, and ensure a high-quality guest experience while controlling costs and upholding safety standards.

The role requires supervising a team across multiple station duties, opening/closing tasks, and adherence to all company policies. Minimum 30 hours per week with nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or retail management.
• Knowledge of labor and employment laws (federal, state, and local).
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage shift, scheduling, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Train, manage, direct, coach, and lead employees during shift.
• Lead drive-in operations to provide optimal guest experience.
• Manage staffing levels during shift.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Escalate guest and employee issues appropriately.
• Monitor food, labor, inventory for cost-control and quality.
• Maintain records and enforce policies and standards.
• Ensure compliance with laws and safety standards.
• Perform all station duties as needed during shift.
• Regular attendance.
