Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Ridgeland, Mississippi is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead drive-in operations, train and coach crew and carhops, and ensure food is delivered safely, quickly and with a friendly guest experience.

You’ll open and close, schedule staff, manage inventory, handle payroll records, and uphold labor laws while developing action plans to improve sales and guest satisfaction through a practical marketing plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience, QSR preferred.
• Ability to work a minimum 5-day week with nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Knowledge of federal/state labor laws and local health/sanitation regulations.
• Leadership and supervisory skills; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches crew, carhops and skating carhops.
• Directs and assigns employees to meet operational standards.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Prepares work schedules and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost controls.
• Maintains payroll and employment records.
• Resolves guest requests and handles complaints with supervisor support.
• Interviews and hires staff to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Prepares operational reports and develops action plans to address sales trends.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan.
