Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Jackson, Mississippi, seeks a General Manager to lead a busy drive-in and unite a diverse team. You will train Crew and Carhops, schedule shifts, manage inventory and payroll, and ensure food is prepared and served safely and efficiently.

The role requires hands-on leadership and a focus on consistent guest satisfaction. You will develop action plans to address sales trends, implement marketing initiatives, and maintain strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations.
• Leadership and supervisory skills; effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/ Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Prepares employee work schedules; monitors staffing levels.
• Monitors and maintains inventory; places orders within cost control procedures.
• Completes payroll records and employment-related records.
• Resolves guest requests; reports complaints and assists in resolution.
• Interview and hire restaurant crew and management staff to achieve staffing levels.
• Develops and implements marketing plans to improve performance and sales.
