Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to lead a drive-in’s operations and staff, delivering an excellent guest experience. You will recruit, train, and supervise employees while managing costs and daily operations to meet performance targets.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and adherence to safety and employment laws, with long hours and a heavy shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: advanced studies in business or restaurant management.
• Experience: at least three years in restaurant management (QSR preferred).
• Experience: running a restaurant shift without supervision and managing employees.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, coach, and supervise staff and assistant managers.
• Manage compensation levels per company guidelines and control costs.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure guest satisfaction and safety standards.
• Coordinate opening/closing duties and maintain records and reports.
• Develop action plans for local marketing and business performance.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and vendor performance, and enforce policies.
