Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to lead drive-in operations and staff. You will recruit, train, and supervise employees, manage expenses, and ensure an excellent guest experience in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities include forecasting, inventory control, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with federal and local laws. Expect long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (e.g., wage and hour laws; EEO laws, etc.).
• Knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule, assign, discipline, and terminate staff.
• Manage compensation levels per company guidelines.
• Oversee operations to ensure guest satisfaction and quality standards.
• Handle opening/closing duties and guest/employee issues.
• Plan, forecast, and adjust food, labor, inventory to maximize efficiency and cost-control.
• Lead regular team meetings and maintain records and reports.
• Develop and manage local marketing and business performance plans.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and vendor performance compliance.
