Job summary

Sonic Drive-In seeks a General Manager to lead operations and staff, ensuring an excellent guest experience and adherence to company standards. You will recruit, train, and coach employees, supervise opening/closing duties, and drive local marketing initiatives. Strong leadership, planning, and compliance with laws are essential.

This is a high-responsibility role requiring 50+ hours weekly, with focus on cost control, quality, and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced drive-in setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: at least three years in restaurant management (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge of labor laws, health and safety regulations, and basic math/accounting.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule, assign, discipline, and terminate staff.
• Manage compensation levels for drive-in employees according to guidelines.
• Supervise operations to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Plan, forecast, and adjust food, labor, inventory to maximize cost-control and quality.
• Lead regular team meetings and maintain drive-in records and reports.
• Develop, implement, and manage local marketing and business plans.
