Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to lead the drive-in’s operations and staff. You will recruit, train, and manage supervisors and employees, ensure excellent guest experiences, and maintain compliance, safety, and quality standards.

You will oversee staffing, budgeting, asset maintenance, and vendor relations, aligning with company policies while driving local marketing and business performance.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields.
• Experience: At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge of labor and employment laws; health and safety regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication; leadership and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule, assign, discipline, and terminate staff.
• Manage compensation levels per company guidelines.
• Oversee all drive-in operations to ensure guest satisfaction and quality standards.
• Handle opening/closing duties and guest/employee issues.
• Forecast and manage food, labor, inventory to control costs and efficiency.
• Lead regular team meetings and maintain records and reports.
• Develop and manage local marketing and business performance plans.
