Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to lead a drive-in operations team and drive guest satisfaction in Alabama. You will recruit, train, and supervise staff, manage costs, and ensure safe, efficient service with strong vendor oversight.

The position requires at least three years in restaurant management, a focus on high standards, and the ability to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. You will report to the Area Supervisor and drive continuous improvement in guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred)
• Experience leading a restaurant shift without supervision
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws
• Knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise, and develop staff
• Manage compensation levels pursuant to guidelines
• Oversee all drive-in operations to ensure guest satisfaction
• Lead opening/closing duties and guest/employee issue resolution
• Forecast and control food, labor, and inventory costs
• Develop and manage local marketing and business performance
• Maintain records and prepare operational reports
• Ensure equipment maintenance and vendor performance
• Comply with company policies and laws
• Attend regularly and manage sanitation duties
