Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Taylorville, AL seeks a General Manager to lead our drive-in’s operations and guest experience. You’ll recruit, train, coach, and schedule team members, while controlling costs and ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.

This role requires strong leadership and the ability to manage a fast-paced restaurant environment. The GM will oversee staffing, vendor relations, and operational reporting, driving local marketing and performance improvements while upholding company

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies preferred.
• Experience: at least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge/Skills: labor laws, health and safety, basic accounting, communication, leadership.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule, assign, discipline, and terminate the drive-in’s assistant managers and employees.
• Manage drive-in employees’ compensation levels pursuant to company guidelines.
• Supervise operations to provide an optimal guest experience and maintain standards.
• Open and/or close the drive-in and handle guest and employee concerns.
• Plan, forecast, and adjust food, labor, and inventory to maximize cost-control and efficiency.
• Lead team meetings and maintain drive-in records and reports.
• Develop and manage action plans for local marketing and business performance.
