Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running the drive-in's operations, training teammates, and delivering quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment. Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC.
• General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations required

Responsibilities

• Manages and coaches Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns employees to meet operational standards.
• Adheres to the employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory, and food cost control.
• Completes weekly inventory as needed.
• Assists in administrative duties including maintaining files and records.
• Reinforces a customer service mentality and guest focus.
• Responds to guest requests and helps resolve complaints.
