Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running the drive-in, training team members, and ensuring clean, safe, and efficient food service. You’ll help deliver a great guest experience every time.

Key duties include leading and coaching crew, directing staffing, monitoring inventory and food cost, performing opening/closing procedures, enforcing policies, and resolving guest concerns with a quick, friendly approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant management (QSR) or 1 year retail management; experience running shifts without supervision.
• Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Willingness to follow appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, monitor and coach team members, carhops and skating carhops.
• Direct and assign staff to meet operational standards.
• Enforce employee handbook policies and practices.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing, inventory and food cost controls.
• Complete weekly inventory as needed.
• Assist administrative duties and maintain records.
• Reinforce customer service and respond to guest requests and complaints.
