Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running day-to-day drive-in operations, lead training, and uphold clean, safe, and efficient service. You’ll help ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience and strong staff performance.

In this role you’ll supervise team members, manage shifts, monitor staffing and inventory, and support administration while promoting a customer-service culture and quick, accurate service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to train and coach staff.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing drive-in restaurant operations and staff.
• Direct and coordinate team, carhops, and other crew members.
• Ensure adherence to policies and safety standards.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties as needed.
• Monitor staffing levels, inventory, and food cost control.
• Support in administrative tasks and record keeping.
• Foster a customer service mindset and resolve guest concerns promptly.
