Job summary

SONIC Drive-In Assistant Manager helps lead the drive-in's operations under the General Manager, training and supporting crew to deliver quality food in a clean, safe and efficient manner. You will supervise team members and carhops, manage staffing and inventory, handle opening/closing duties, and ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience every time.

You will monitor compliance with policies, respond to guest requests promptly, and reinforce a customer-service mindset across the team,

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of restaurant management experience or 1 year entry level retail management experience.
Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
General knowledge of restaurant or retail operations.
Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.

Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
Train and support other employees to ensure quality food in a clean, safe and efficient manner.
Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
Monitor staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost; complete weekly inventory as needed.
Reinforce a customer service mentality and ensure employees focus on serving customers.
Respond promptly and respectfully to guest requests and help resolve guest complaints.
