Job summary

SONIC Drive-In Assistant Manager role involves assisting the General Manager in running the drive-in operations, training staff, and ensuring quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment. Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• General knowledge of the restaurant industry or retail operations.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems.
• Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
• Train and coach Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign drive-in restaurant employees to ensure food service standards.
• Monitor staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control; complete weekly inventory.
• Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties; ensure guest requests are addressed and issues resolved.
• Reinforce customer service mentality and maintain cleanliness and safety.
