Job summary

RepliGen Corporation is seeking a Scientist II, Downstream Processing to design, execute, and interpret studies of new downstream technologies for biologics and advanced therapies. You will generate application data for monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, AAV/Lentivirus vectors, vaccines, and related modalities.

The role requires strong scientific judgment, hands-on lab work, cross-functional collaboration, and clear technical communication to support R&D and product development.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in chemical/biochemical engineering, biochemistry, biotechnology, biology or related field with 2+ years of experience
  • M.S. with 5+ years or B.S. with 8+ years of relevant industry experience in downstream processing
  • Strong understanding of chromatography, filtration, clarification, and related unit operations for biologics and advanced therapies
  • Hands-on experience with ELISA, HPLC, SEC-MALS, SDS-PAGE, protein concentration assays and related analytics
  • Ability to independently design/execute experiments, interpret data, troubleshoot and communicate recommendations clearly
  • Experience in industrial biotech, biopharmaceutical, or life sciences environments preferred; mammalian cell culture a plus
  • Ability to travel occasionally and work extended hours when needed

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and execute lab studies testing downstream processing technologies and products
  • Generate application data and insights for chromatography and TFF workflows
  • Operate and troubleshoot AKTA and lab-scale TFF systems
  • Analyze data and translate findings into technical recommendations and customer materials
  • Collaborate with product development, management and field teams for readiness and adoption
  • Prepare and present application data through publications, posters, webinars
  • Promote safe lab practices, data integrity, and quality-driven experimentation
