Job summary

Repligen Corp in the United States is seeking a Scientist II to advance ultrafiltration and microfiltration membranes for bioprocessing from concept to commercialization. You will design experiments, scale up processes, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS/BS with extensive industrial membrane experience.
• Experience in polymeric membrane development and formation processes.
• Experience with process scale-up and technology transfer to manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Stage-Gate processes, DV/V&V, and process validation.
• Knowledge of quality and manufacturing tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, IQ/OQ/PQ and statistics.
• Strong experimental and troubleshooting skills with independent project leadership.
• Hands-on scientist/engineer comfortable in lab and pilot-scale environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop ultrafiltration and microfiltration membranes and processes from concept through commercialization.
• Execute NPD activities including process development, verification, validation, scale-up, and tech transfer.
• Evaluate formulations and technologies to enhance performance and manufacturability.
• Design and analyze lab and pilot-scale experiments to address technical challenges.
• Support validation activities using quality and manufacturing tools and maintain compliance.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and technology transfer packages.
• Maintain hands-on lab focus and own process development in lab and pilot environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance development and commercialization.
