Job summary

RESA Power, LLC is seeking a DOT Specialist to oversee FMCSA regulatory requirements for its commercial vehicle fleet and to administer DQ files for CDL holders. You will coordinate drug/alcohol testing, annual inspections, and insurance-related programs while driving DOT compliance across mixed-use and non-regulated drivers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Logistics, Business or related field with 4–6+ years of DOT/FMCSA fleet compliance experience.
• Direct experience managing FMCSA portals, Clearinghouse, DataQs, and Driver Qualification files.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations for non-regulated, mixed-use commercial vehicles, and CDL requirements.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage data accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to partner with diverse field teams and business units.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator for FMCSA online portals including Clearinghouse, SMS/BASICS, and DataQs.
• Oversee and maintain compliant Driver Qualification files for all regulated drivers and CDL holders.
• Manage mixed-use and non-regulated driver oversight and qualification tracking.
• Coordinate drug and alcohol testing per DOT/FMCSA regulations with HR.
• Track annual vehicle inspections, maintenance, and registrations across fleet vehicles.
• Manage auto insurance claims and evaluate programs to reduce costs.
• Lead state/federal filings, permits, UCRs, and internal/external DOT audits.
• Develop and deliver DOT compliance training modules and driver safety coaching.
• Review accidents, conduct root-cause investigations, and drive reduction efforts with EHS.
• Collaborate with field managers and EHS leadership to align fleet ops with safety initiatives.
