Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking an on-site Donor Center Clerk in Dallas, TX to greet donors, verify eligibility, and guide them through the screening and registration processes. You will assist with health history reviews, medical questions, and basic health checks, including finger-stick tests.

You may educate donors on plasma-based products and center policies, assist with donor registration or transfers, and answer phone inquiries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and handle registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process, including health history, medical questions, and referral to medical staff as needed; perform health screening procedures like blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature, and finger-stick hematocrit and protein tests.
• Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products from donated plasma; explain screening, tests, appointment system, center policies, nutrition, and answer donor questions accurately and timely.
• May register or transfer donors based on training and center needs; answer phones and route calls to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donor well-being during pheresis and notify staff of any reactions; maintain donor data in the electronic information system following SOPs.
