Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking an Associate Donor Center Clerk to greet donors, verify suitability for plasma pheresis, and assist with screening procedures. You will perform health checks and record data in the donor system while ensuring donor confidentiality and safety.

Responsibilities include educating donors after training, handling registrations, answering calls, and monitoring for any donor reactions during or after the procedure. Some roles may require bilingual capabilities and cross-training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Different qualifications or responsibilities may apply based on local legal and/or educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
• Assist donors in completing the screening process per SOPs, including health history and basic medical questions.
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature.
• Conduct finger stick to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate donors on therapeutic products and center policies after training.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed after training.
• Answer phones and route calls to appropriate staff.
• Monitor for donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
