Job summary

CSL Vifor in Orlando is seeking a Donor Screening Assistant to greet donors and guide them through registration for the donation process. You will perform screening tasks, including health history review, basic medical questions, vital signs, and a finger-stick hematocrit test, while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

Training will be provided, and accuracy in data entry is essential for donor records and center operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and register them for screening and donation procedures.
• Assist donors in completing screening procedures per SOPs; check health history and answer basic medical questions.
• Perform health screening tasks such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature and finger stick for hematocrit.
• Educate donors on the donation process, screening tests, appointment system, center policies, and nutrition.
• Maintain accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Respond to donor questions, escalate issues to medical staff when appropriate, and maintain confidentiality.
• Cross-train in other areas to meet center needs and promote safety in all actions.
