Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a Donor Center Screener to greet donors, verify eligibility, and guide them through the screening process at our plasma collection center. You will support health history assessments, perform vital signs checks, and facilitate the finger-stick hematocrit/total protein testing under SOP guidance.

With training, you may educate donors on the donation process, policies, nutrition and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months in clerical or customer service role, preferably in medical/health setting.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma center and verify donor suitability during registration.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process according to SOPs.
• Perform health screening tasks including blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature.
• Conduct finger-stick to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate donors on the donation process, policies and center procedures after training.
• Register and transfer donors as needed, and answer donor inquiries or route calls.
• Monitor donors for reactions during/after pheresis and notify staff as required.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information system.
• Maintain a clean work environment and ensure supplies are available as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of all donor and center information.
