Job summary

CSL Plasma in Joliet, IL is seeking a Medical Screener - Reception Technician (Customer Service) to greet donors and verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis. The role involves completing screening processes, answering questions, and ensuring accurate data entry in the donor system.

You will work under the Assistant Center Manager, with training to educate donors on processes, policies and nutrition, while maintaining safety, confidentiality and a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three months experience in clerical or customer service
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist donors in the screening process per SOPs and collect health information.
• Explain screening, tests, appointment system, fees, center policies and nutrition to donors.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed after training.
• Answer telephone calls and route inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donor reactions during/after pheresis and alert staff as needed.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information system.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Follow Health, Safety & OSHA policies and promote safety in all actions.
• Keep donor, center and personnel information confidential.
• May cross-train in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
