Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
• Assist with screening procedures including health history, medical questions, and health screening tests such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature.
• Educate donors on screening process, health tests performed, appointment system, and center policies as trained.
• Register and transfer donors as needed following training and center needs.
• Answer telephone calls and direct to appropriate staff when needed.
• Monitor donors for reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff if issues arise.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system as SOPs dictate.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and ensure adequate supplies; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain donor, personnel, and center confidentiality.
