Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a front-line donor center registrar in Peoria, AZ to greet donors and guide them through registration and screening for plasma pheresis.

Responsibilities include health history review, administering basic medical questions, and performing health screenings. You may educate donors on therapies from plasma and assist with center processes while maintaining accuracy in donor data and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process per SOPs, including health history review and basic medical questions.
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature; perform finger stick to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products from donated plasma as training allows; explain screening, tests, appointment system, policies, nutrition and related info.
• Register or transfer donors based on training and center needs; answer telephone inquiries or route calls to staff.
• Monitor donor reactions during and after pheresis and alert staff as needed; maintain donor data in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE and OSHA policies; protect confidentiality of donor and center data.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
