Job summary

The Blood Connection in Asheville, NC seeks a donor services associate to welcome donors, perform health history screening and basic assessments, and ensure a positive donor experience. You will advance toward phlebotomy through paid on-the-job training while upholding the organization’s values and mission.

Strong customer service, professionalism, and flexibility with weekend hours are essential as you support donor flow and coordination with the collections team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and adapt to schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and registers donors; performs donor health history and basic assessment.
• Acts as first impression of The Blood Connection with professionalism.
• Assists donor flow and ensures proper handoff to collections team.
• Performs reception/telephone duties as assigned and maintains storefront appearance.
• Provides donor education and supports eligibility screening.
• Participates in blood drives and other events.
