Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a front desk donor center associate to greet donors, verify eligibility, and guide them through screening procedures. The role involves recording donor data, performing health assessments, and answering donor questions to ensure a smooth process.

The incumbent may train in educating donors about plasma-derived products and participate in donor registration, transfers, and overall center operations while upholding SOPs and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum three months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process per SOPs, including health history, medical questions, and basic vitals (blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature).
• Perform finger stick to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate new donors on therapeutic products from donated plasma and explain screening, tests, appointment system, fees, policies, nutrition.
• May register applicants and transfer donors as needed.
• Answer telephone inquiries or transfer calls to staff.
• Monitor donor well-being during/after pheresis and notify staff of any reactions.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
