Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis.
• Assist donors in completing the screening process per SOPs, including health history review and basic medical questions, refer to medical staff when needed, and perform health screening procedures.
• Educate donors on the use of therapeutic products from donated plasma after appropriate training, explain screening and tests, appointment system, and center policies.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed based on training and center needs.
• Answer the telephone and direct callers to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donors for reactions during/after pheresis and alert staff as required.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies and procedures for hyper-immune programs when applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available; comply with HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain donor, personnel, and center confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at the organization's discretion.
