Job summary

CSL Plasma Birmingham seeks a Donor Center Registrar to greet donors and guide them through eligibility verification for plasma pheresis. You will support the screening process, perform basic health checks, and enter data into the donor information system.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and professional donor interaction. The position requires a high school diploma and at least 3 months in a clerical or customer-service setting, ideally in a medical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process including health history, medical questions, and basic health screening procedures.
• Perform finger stick to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels when needed.
• Maintain donor data confidentiality and record data in the electronic donor information management system as SOPs require.
• Answer phones and transfer calls to appropriate staff; support center operations and safety compliance as needed.
• May assist in registering applicants and transferring donors based on training and center needs.
