Job summary

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes in Rochester, NY is seeking a Donor Greeter to warmly welcome donors, assist with donations, and maintain donation area and logs. You will be the first point of contact, help sort items, and support store operations while upholding safety policies and customer service excellence.

The role requires a positive attitude, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist donors with unloading and bringing donations into the store.
• Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact for donors and visitors.
• Accurately record and maintain donation log documentation.
• Sort donated goods into appropriate categories for processing and transportation.
• Properly label carts, containers, and other equipment used for donation processing.
• Assist with loading and unloading merchandise and equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling donations, moving merchandise, and operating equipment.
• Address donor and customer concerns in a courteous and respectful manner, seeking support from leadership when needed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized donation area, sales floor, and surrounding store environment.
• Support store operations through cross-training opportunities and additional responsibilities as assigned
