Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is hiring a Donor Greeter to warmly welcome donors, assist with donations, and ensure items are properly handled. You will be the first point of contact for donors and visitors, recording donations and helping maintain an organized donation area.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, professionalism, and safety, with opportunities to support store operations and learn cross-functional duties in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail, warehouse, or customer service is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist donors with unloading and bringing donations into the store.
• Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact for donors and visitors.
• Accurately record and maintain donation log documentation.
• Sort donated goods into appropriate categories for processing and transportation.
• Properly label carts, containers, and equipment used for donation processing.
• Follow safety procedures when handling donations, moving merchandise, and operating equipment.
• Address donor and customer concerns politely and seek leadership support when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized donation area and store surroundings.
• Support store operations through cross-training and additional responsibilities.
