Job summary

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes in Webster, NY is seeking a Donor Greeter who welcomes donors, assists with unloading donations, and ensures items are handled safely and logged correctly. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail, warehouse, or donation center is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist donors with unloading and bringing donations into the store.
• Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact for donors and visitors.
• Accurately record and maintain donation log documentation.
• Sort donated goods into appropriate categories for processing and transportation.
• Properly label carts, containers, and other equipment used for donation processing.
• Assist with loading and unloading merchandise and equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling donations, moving merchandise, and operating equipment.
• Address donor and customer concerns in a courteous and respectful manner, seeking support from leadership when needed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized donation area, sales floor, and surrounding store environment.
• Support store operations through cross-training opportunities and additional responsibilities as assigned.
