Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a friendly Donor Center Associate to greet donors, process donations, and maintain accurate donation records. You will perform the GRATIS steps with care, sort items, and help ensure a safe, welcoming center environment.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and reliable transportation. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work a flexible schedule as needed. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications listed in the ad: prior customer service is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with a variety of personality types.
• Retail sales experience is preferred; HS diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet each donor to accept donations with a cheerful and pleasant disposition.
• Perform GRATIS steps (Greet, Receipt, Assist, Thank, Invite, Sort) during donations.
• Provide excellent customer service and invite donors to return.
• Collect and sort donations, maintain accurate records and issue receipts.
• Communicate with manager, Transportation Department, and leadership.
• Assist with loading/unloading donations and keeping areas tidy and safe.
• Perform janitorial duties and report incidents; adhere to safety regulations.
