Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a donor associate to provide outstanding customer service to donors and visitors at our location. You will process donations, sort items for staging, and assist with loading, unloading, and pricing of furniture and goods.

Responsibilities include operating pallet jacks, following safety guidelines, recording donations, and ensuring accurate receipts. A high school diploma is preferred, and reliability with transportation is important for this role.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer service to donors and visitors.
• Accurately process donations and maintain records.
• Sort and stage donations, including furniture, for pricing and display.
• Operate pallet jacks and handle equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines to protect staff and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and acknowledge their contributions.
• Collect donations using carts and sort into categories.
• Accept and stage furniture donations for sales floor.
• Label equipment and ensure proper setup for donations.
• Move items using pallet jacks and assist with loading/unloading.
• Record donations on donor tablet and issue receipts.
• Follow PPE protocol and report safety incidents.
• Assist management in securing supplies and maintaining cleanliness.
• Maintain safe and secure premises for staff, donors, and property.
• Perform janitorial tasks as needed.
