Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Donor Acquisition Specialist to deliver exceptional donor service at our Attended Donation Center locations. You will greet donors, process donations, issue receipts, and guide donors toward returning.

In this role you will sort donations, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with the Transportation Department and leadership to support mission-driven operations. A high school diploma and reliable transportation are preferred; prior customer service or retail

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
• Poses excellent customer service skills.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet each donor to accept donations with a cheerful and pleasant disposition.
• Perform GRATIS when accepting donations: GREET, RECEIPT, ASSIST, THANK, INVITE, SORT.
• Provide excellent customer service, show appreciation to donors, and invite them to return.
• Collect donations using donation carts and sort them into categories.
• Maintain accurate records of donations and issue donation receipts.
• Communicate with the manager, Transportation Department, and leadership.
• Assist with keeping production supplies available and with loading/unloading donations.
• Assist with security and safety of team members and property.
• Perform necessary janitorial work and report incidents.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
