Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Donor Acquisition Specialist for the Donated Goods Program. You will greet donors, process donations, and perform GRATIS steps to ensure a smooth, respectful donor experience.

This non-exempt role emphasizes strong customer service and accurate record-keeping at an Attended Donation Center. Responsibilities include sorting donations, assisting with loading/unloading, and collaborating with the ADC Area Manager and Transportation Department to maintain efficient

Qualifications

Previous customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
Poses excellent customer service skills.
Retail sales experience is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Greet donors and accept donations with a cheerful, pleasant disposition.
Perform GRATIS steps: GREET, RECEIPT, ASSIST, THANK, INVITE, SORT.
Provide excellent customer service and invite donors to return.
Collect and sort donations into categories (hardlines/softlines).
Maintain accurate records of donations and issue receipts.
Communicate with the ADC Area Manager, Transportation Department, and leadership.
Assist with loading/unloading donations and keeping areas clean and safe.
Follow safety, loss prevention, and GWH policies.
Attend training sessions and participate in activities outside GWH as needed.
