Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Donor Acquisition Specialist to support the Donated Goods Program at an Attended Donation Center. You will greet donors, accept donations with care, and help sort and record items to maximize program efficiency.

This role demands strong communication, reliable attendance, and a flexible schedule. Prior customer service or retail experience is preferred, and you will coordinate with the Transportation Department and management to uphold safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
• Poses excellent customer service skills.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet each donor to accept donations with a cheerful and pleasant disposition.
• Perform GRATIS when accepting donations: GREET, RECEIPT, ASSIST, THANK, INVITE.
• Collect donations using donation carts and sort them into categories.
• Maintain accurate records of donations and issue completed donation receipts to all donors.
• Communicate clearly with the ADC manager and Transportation Department and other leadership personnel.
• Assist with loading and unloading donations and equipment as needed.
• Perform necessary janitorial work and ensure safety and cleanliness.
