Job summary

The Y in the United States is seeking a Database Administrator I to serve as the primary expert and administrator of the donor database, ensuring accuracy, maintenance, and reporting to support fundraising goals. Under the Development Leader, you will manage gift processing, data integrity, and compliance, generate donor communications, and provide data extracts for campaigns and dashboards.

This role requires an associate degree and 2+ years experience with donor databases, Excel proficiency,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business administration, nonprofit management, information systems, accounting, or related field.
• Two+ years experience with donor, customer relationship management, or fundraising databases.
• Experience with gift processing, donor acknowledgements, recurring gifts, and campaigns.
• High-volume, detail-sensitive data entry experience.
• Ability to produce reports and manage data files.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day operation, accuracy, and integrity of the donor database.
• Enter and post gifts, pledges, recurring gifts, and other contributions.
• Generate donor communications, acknowledgments, and tax receipts.
• Produce standard donor, gift, campaign, and acknowledgment reports.
• Assist with dashboard preparation and data extractions for campaigns.
• Support data quality reviews and donor privacy standards.
