Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor center associate in Decatur, IL to greet donors, guide them through registration, and support the screening process for plasma pheresis. The role requires attention to health history, basic medical questions, and accurate data entry, with adherence to SOPs and safety policies.

Ultimately, you will educate donors on procedures and center policies, respond to inquiries, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant donor center environment in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis.
• Assist donors in completing the screening process following SOPs, including health history, medical questions, and basic screening tests (BP, pulse, weight, temperature).
• Perform finger sticks to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic plasma products when trained, including screening processes and policies.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed after training and operational needs.
• Answer phones and transfer calls to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donor reactions during/after pheresis and notify staff.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs and promote safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
