Job summary

CSL Milwaukee is seeking a donor center registrar to greet donors and guide them through the registration and screening process for plasma pheresis. You will assist with health history review, basic medical questions, and health screenings such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature, including finger-stick hematocrit and total protein tests.

After training, you may educate new donors on therapeutic products from plasma and help register or transfer donor records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process per SOPs, including health history review and basic medical questions.
• Perform health screenings such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature; obtain hematocrit and total protein via finger stick.
• Educate donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma after training.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed; answer telephone and direct callers as appropriate.
• Monitor donors for any reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
