Octapharma Plasma, Inc. in Portsmouth, VA seeks a Center Operations Leader to assist center leadership with daily operations and lead training compliance initiatives.

You will plan, implement, and execute training programs while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities include mentoring staff, managing inventory and payroll, and coordinating with corporate teams to optimize processes and donor relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or related experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of operations and/or process management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Three years of people management, including recruiting and training, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
• Host and support internal and external audits; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain certifications, licenses, training docs, and audit records for regulatory compliance.
• Mentor staff and enforce safety, health, environmental, and quality policies.
• Manage donor center facilities, assets, and equipment for cleanliness and readiness.
• Oversee product inventory management, procurement, and purchase orders.
• Safeguard product integrity and proper handling of non-conforming products.
• Analyze operational KPIs to drive production, cost optimization, and quality.
• Lead performance management, evaluations, and development plans.
• Foster an inclusive workplace culture and ensure HR policy adherence.
• Manage payroll records, scheduling, and staff allocation.
• Cultivate donor relationships and coordinate with marketing teams.
• Facilitate routine staff and leadership meetings.
• Report irregularities to supervisor and coordinate CAPA with corporate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
