LifeShare Network is hiring a Donation Services Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for organ, eye, and tissue donor referrals. The role involves coordinating with hospital staff, donor families, and medical professionals to evaluate donation opportunities and manage the donation process.

This on-site, 12-hour night-shift position requires strong critical thinking, medical terminology knowledge, and empathetic communication.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree or two years of healthcare experience
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to communicate compassionately and professionally with grieving families
• Ability to work with various healthcare professionals and external partners
• Remain calm and effective in stressful situations
• Able to work independently and with a team
• Strong computer skills navigating multiple systems
• Able to work 12-hour night shifts, including rotating weekends/holidays
• Bilingual English/Spanish valued but not required

Aufgaben

• Receive and coordinate incoming organ, eye, and tissue donor referrals
• Communicate with hospital staff to gather medical information and assess donor eligibility
• Perform initial triage and medical screening of potential donors
• Present donation opportunities to families with empathy and professionalism
• Obtain informed authorization for donation from next of kin
• Conduct donor risk assessments and family interviews
• Maintain donor records and complete documentation promptly
• Coordinate with hospitals, funeral homes, and tissue partners throughout donation
• Share critical information with internal and external partners
• Support clinical and recovery teams with case activity
• Manage multiple priorities with accuracy and confidentiality
• Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call schedule
