Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay Albany store is seeking a dedicated team member to deliver an exceptional customer and brand experience while promoting sales. You will receive donations promptly, label items, and ensure donors get receipts.

You will also help load and unload, operate pallet jack and walkie stacker, maintain orderly production areas per PPM standards, and assist with safety and cross-training as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check, where applicable for position.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accept donations with outstanding customer service.
• Label Gaylords accurately.
• Provide receipts to each donor.
• Inquire about hazardous items and advise proper disposal.
• Write sales tickets and signs for large items.
• Assist loading/unloading furniture for customers.
• Maintain merchandise placement and production room organization per PPM standards.
• Assist loading/unloading onto/off trucks or trailers.
• Safely operate pallet jack and walkie stacker.
• Conduct daily safety inspections on equipment.
• Follow safety rules and use equipment properly.
• Provide floor care at retail store as needed.
• Cross-train in other store positions as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties.
