Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay in Pleasant Hill, CA is seeking a team member to lead an exceptional customer and brand experience while promoting store sales. You will receive donations, label items, and ensure donors receive receipts.

This role involves assisting customers with loading, maintaining merchandise organization, operating pallet jack/walkie stacker, and following safety rules to protect staff and customers.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Accept donations from customers and provide outstanding service.
• Label items correctly and ensure receipts are offered to donors.
• Ask about hazardous donations and guide proper disposal.
• Write up sales tickets and signs for large items.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading to/from vehicles.
• Maintain merchandise placement and production room organization per standards.
• Operate pallet jack and walkie stacker safely.
• Conduct daily safety inspections on equipment.
• Follow safety rules and use required safety gear.
• Cross-train in other store positions as needed.
