Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay in Albany, CA seeks a store associate to lead an excellent customer and brand experience while handling donations, labeling, and sales support. You will assist with loading, keeping the sales floor organized, and following safety procedures during daily operations.

The role requires strong English skills, a valid forklift certification, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to pass forklift certification.
• English literacy and spoken proficiency.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Accept donations from customers and provide outstanding service.
• Label Gaylords correctly.
• Ensure a receipt is offered to each donor.
• Inquire about hazardous donations and provide disposal locations.
• Write up sales tickets and signs for furniture and large items.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading furniture and items.
• Maintain merchandise placement per PPM standards.
• Assist loading/unloading onto/off trucks or trailers.
• Safely operate pallet jack and walkie stacker.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment and store area.
• Cross-train in other store positions as needed.
• Maintain regular in-person attendance and reliability.
