Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay in Albany, CA is seeking a Store Associate to help deliver an excellent customer and brand experience while processing donations and organizing the sales floor. You will assist donors, label items, and support loading and unloading of merchandise.

Responsibilities include operating pallet jacks, conducting safety checks, performing floor care, and cross-training in other roles to support store needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to read and speak English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Accept donations from customers and provide outstanding service.
• Label Gaylords correctly.
• Provide receipts to donors for donations.
• Inform donors about hazardous items and disposal locations.
• Prepare sales tickets and signs for furniture and large items.
• Assist customers with loading and unloading items to/from vehicles.
• Maintain merchandise placement and production room organization per standards.
• Assist in loading/offloading merchandise from trucks or trailers as needed.
• Safely operate pallet jack and walkie stacker.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment and follow safety rules.
• Perform floor care duties as needed.
• Cross-train in other store positions as needed.
• Maintain regular in-person attendance.
