Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay is seeking a Store Team member to lead an excellent customer and brand experience, while promoting sales. You will receive donations, label items, issue receipts, and help customers with loading from vehicles.

You’ll keep the production area organized, operate equipment safely, and participate in cross-training. This role emphasizes strong customer service, the ability to pass forklift certification, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.

Responsibilities

• Accepts all donations from customers, providing outstanding customer service.
• Responsible for correctly labeling Gaylords.
• Ensures that a receipt is offered to each donor, regardless of donation size.
• Inquires about potential hazardous product and provides disposal locations to customers.
• Writes up sales tickets and signs for furniture, electrical, and other large items.
• Assists customers with loading and unloading furniture or other items to and from vehicles.
• Maintains placement of merchandise and production room organization following PPM standards.
• Assists in loading or unloading merchandise onto/off trucks or trailers as needed.
• Operates pallet jack and walkie stacker safely.
• Conducts daily safety inspections on all company owned equipment including walkie stackers.
• Follows safety rules and uses appropriate safety equipment.
• Provides floor care duties at a retail store, as needed.
• Cross-trains in other store positions as needed.
• Maintains regular, consistent in-person attendance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
