Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-Southeastern-Louisiana in LaPlace, LA seeks a Store Production Supervisor to lead the daily donation and backroom production operations, ensuring delivery of budgeted goals and compliance with company standards.

You will supervise production staff, optimize workflow from donation to sales floor, and maintain a safe, clean work environment while driving revenue through efficient processes and quality control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Leadership, team building, and mentoring experience preferred.
• Background leading teams in retail sales, production, manufacturing, or assembly preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and pass MVR; valid driver’s license, insurance, vehicle registration and inspection.
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power BI.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production employees to meet daily production goals (minimum 110 garments per hour with a minimum quality standard of 90%).
• Ensure the backroom workflow is set up and maintained to maximize production.
• Process donations to maximize sales and minimize waste.
• Monitor waste output and ensure sellable merchandise is not discarded.
• Conduct quality checks on merchandise before it is placed on the sales floor.
• Conduct textile rack checks to ensure accuracy of piece count reported.
• Monitor back-room supply levels and assist with ordering supplies when needed.
• Communicate daily needs with the transportation department and District Managers.
• Ensure all donations are processed expediently from the donation door to the sales floor.
• Maintain safe and appropriate conditions in the backroom areas.
• Ensure a proper schedule is written and posted to meet production goals.
• Observe and ensure compliance with personnel and safety policies and procedures.
• Use the cash register to total sales, accept payment, authorize voids, returns, exchanges and credits for merchandise only in emergencies.
• Ensure production employees always have the necessary materials to meet their production goals.
• Assist the Store Manager in achieving/exceeding sales goals and in contingency planning.
• Assist in coaching and development of production employees; document all coaching, training and development.
• Create a working environment conducive to meeting all goals by multitasking and adapting to opportunities.
• Assist in scheduling employees for adequate coverage of store operation.
• Perform all duties of production personnel including donation receiving, sorting, hanging, pricing, cleaning.
• Keep the store clean and hazard free; perform cleaning tasks as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
